South China Bluesky Aviation Oil Co. Ltd.("Bluesky")
is a large-scale multi-regional joint-venture formed
by China Aviation Oil Supply Company Limited, bp
and Hongkong Fortune Oil Limited where China Aviation
Oil Supply Company Limited, a state-run company,
is the majority shareholder. Bluesky is mainly responsible
for procurement, storage, transportation, sales
and uplifting of jet fuel for 15 airports including
Guangzhou, Guilin, Changsha, Wuhan & Zhengzhou
in Central & Southern China. It has uplifted
around 9 million tons of jet fuel for 57 local and
foreign airlines since its inception and has paid
over RMB 600 million taxes to the country. |

During
the 9 years since its formation, Bluesky has been
continuously adopting international management
& operational philosophies, standardizing
internal management according to modern corporate
management practices, restructuring business processes,
reforming and innovating. That coupled with strategic
management and modern information management technology
helps upgrade the company's core competency especially
in raising safety management to a standardized
and controlled level and advancing its safety
performance. In the meantime, in terms of quality
and measurement control, Bluesky Oil Research
& Application Center and Measurement &
Calibration Center have both passed accreditation
of China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories;
Bluesky Headquarters and its 15 branch companies
have obtained ISO14001CNAB certificate from China
National Accreditation Committee, ISO14001UKAS
certificate from British Royal Accreditation Committee
and OHSAS18000 certificate from DNV; In 2006,
Bluesky smoothly passed jet fuel airworthiness
accreditation of CAAC, thus successfully obtained
the permit to operate in jet fuel industry.
The
business performance and continuous improvement
of Bluesky has been widely recognized by the communities
and relevant authorities. In 2000, it won the
Most Improved Award from bp, beating over 1400
airports in 80 countries and regions in bp's global
network; In Sept 2003, it was ranked 35 "World
Best Jet Fuel Marketer" by American Armbrust
Aviation Group, the highest ranking among Chinese
jet fuel suppliers. In 2003 and 2004, it won the
award of "Double Excellence Enterprise with
Foreign Investment" consecutively from China
Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment;
In 2003 and 2004, it won the second prize of 10th
and 11th National Enterprise Management Innovation
Achievement consecutively for its "Construction
& Implementation of Jet Fuel Safety Management
System" and "Jet Fuel Business Process
Reengineering under the Low Cost Strategy"
respectively.
